About Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry is less complex than rebuilding a lost tooth, but no less important. Dentistry materials have changed dramatically over the years and we utilize the latest materials and technology to restore your teeth to their original appearance or better!

The old amalgam silver fillings are a thing of the past and many of our patients want them out! Composite fillings or resin fillings are tooth colored bonded filling that are very durable and more resistant to fractures. They are used to restore tooth structure damaged by decay in both front and back teeth.

What is a lab made restoration? When a large portion of tooth structure is heavily damaged by decay or fractures a lab made restoration may be needed.  These long lasting restorations are made of a durable material that is custom to your tooth. Materials used are porcelain (ceramic). Lab made restorations include:

  • Crowns
  • Veneers
  • Bridges
  • Onlays/Inlays
